The Tepuy Research and Development Group (Tepuy R&D Group) provides advances in the area of Artificial Intelligence. This Group is composed by researchers and engineers from several research fields associated with computational applications, using artificial intelligence as the main tool for addressing problems in several domains. This group is lead by Jose Aguilar and it is located at the main building of the Engineering Faculty (www.ing.ula.ve), at the University of Los Andes, Venezuela (www.ula.ve). The main mission of the Tepuy R&D Group is to actively participate in applied research, supported by projects, by defining new concepts, methods and algorithms capable of solving real-world problems.The Tepuy R&D Group is composed of a research and development team, supported by a group of qualified scientific advisors directly involved in R&D projects where Tepuy R&D is a partner. The research and development team of Tepuy R&D Group explores the future trends and applications of Artificial Intelligence in different scientific domains. The main researchers of Tepuy R&D Group have more than 25 years’ experience on working with Modeling Methodologies, Learning Algorithms, Intelligent Decision Support Systems, Fuzzy Cognitive Maps, Data Analytics, Social Simulation, Soft Systems, Strategic and Situational Planning, Simulation of Systems of Organized Action, and Knowledge Based Systems. The proposed methods and approaches have found great applicability in different scientific domains such as: medicine, business, communities, education, environment, water sector, control engineering, industrial supervision and petroleum processes. The extremely high number of publication citations of the team group reveals the interest of the research community on Artificial Intelligence in their contributions, and shows the capabilities to solve problems related to the mentioned domains.
